JC Penny doubling down on being awesome. After being attacked by various “family values” bigots for using Ellen DeGeneres as a spokesperson, they give the bigots a big middle finger by portraying a gay couple in their Father’s Day ad. A big store acknowledging that, -gasp-, gay people exist, have families, and need to buy things from time to time shouldn’t be a big deal. Unfortunately, it is. Hopefully this is the first step in it becoming normal.

It blows my mind that people think they can tell my friend Steven who he can and can’t marry just because he’s gay. I wish this country and the world would just accept and love people for who they are. I wonder how all the people against gay marriage would feel about someone fighting against their marriage. Chances are they probably wouldn’t like it.
